I am not a professional medical biller.

I am a doula just like you, and I know I don't know everything, but I'm willing and eager to build up the birthworker community. The Medicaid process has a lot of steps and feels very overwhelming to most doulas, and I want to do what I can to make it feel less intimidating. I believe this program has real value to families who need doula services but otherwise couldn't afford it, but it needs to be accessible and sustainable to doulas in order to work! I'm not a medical biller by trade, but I've been successfully billing my own claims since the program started in January 2023, and I've learned a lot so far.
